The headmaster’s conference room was originally a large open area, but a decision by the client to make more efficient use of the available space meant reducing the size of the room by erecting new wall panelling. This also necessitated the creation of a new doorway. We installed new wainscot panelling and a new doorway, paying particular care to match the original Australian cedar panels that were there. A cavity sliding door was installed at the entrance to the conference room so as to maximise the interior space. Similarly, the upper half of the walls were painted white to enhance that sense of space even more.
